What do tips pay for?
Running costs (app store developer accounts, hosting, test devices) and the time it takes to keep improving the ingredient database, the scanner and the translations.
Does a tip unlock anything?
No. Every feature is free for everyone, and the app works exactly the same whether you tip or not, and it never asks you for money.
Who receives it? Is it tax-deductible?
Tips through Buy Me a Coffee go to Irutehe, the personal account of PuristIQ's developer, not to NousVigil LLC. PuristIQ is not a charity, so tips are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible.
Do you share my details?
The payment is handled by Buy Me a Coffee and its payment processor. We see what they show us about the tip, and we never link it to the app, which has no account and no identifier to link it to.
